Richland BOA Approves New Electric Rate System

Residents in the City of Richland will soon see new electric rates.

According to the city, the board of alderman have approved a new rate system that is easier to understand.

In previous years, the town had a schedule of rates that varied between Residential and Commercial properties in town, out of town and also rates for a second meter.

Officials say the new rate system structure will be closer to what Laclede Electric customers currently see on their rate charts.
