The project to replace the bridge on Route BB over Richland Creek in Morgan County is done, and the bridge’s reopened. Construction started near the end of February. The bridge replacement’s part of MoDOT’s Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which targets 800 of Missouri’s worst bridges in five years – by the end of 2013. Under the program, 90-bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri region as a part of the program. Right now, 343 of the bridges included in the program have been improved statewide. For more information or for a complete listing of bridges included in the program, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or log onto www.modot.org/central.
