Parents of soon-to-be-students in the Richland school district are encouraged to get signed up for pre-school and kindergarten registration. Richland Elementary Principal Dr. Tina Turner says the screenings are as important for teachers as they are for the students.
Turner says to allow for up to two hours for the screening. You’ll need your child’s birth certificate, shot records, social security card, and proof of residency. Pre-school students must be four years old by July 31st. Your child must be five years old for kindergarten. To schedule an appointment call Carrie Poynter at 765-3812, extension 201.
