The city of Richland may not be tackling the issue of potentially dangerous dogs but apparently they do have an animal problem. Like many communities, Richland seems to have a large number of stray cats, and a committee has been formed to address the issue. City clerk Susan Alexander explains one of the possible reasons for the problem.
One solution being considered is to catch the strays and then spay and neuter them. The cats would then be marked and turned loose. This and other suggestions are slated to be discussed at the next committee meeting which is scheduled for January 8th at city hall.
