No one needs an excuse for a day of fun on the lake – but Surdyke Yamaha had a good one on Sunday. They sponsored their annual Ride for Freedom as a way to say “thank you” to military members and first responders. The trip on boats and personal watercraft spanned 150 miles to the Truman Dam and back. About 60 people participated including members of the Camden County Sheriff’s office, Osage Beach police, and the highway patrol. Drew Schenck tells us they had a lot of food, a lot of fun, and even raised some money in the process.
Surdyke Yamaha donated boats and pwc’s at no charge for any first responder or military member who didn’t have one.
