Road conditions have improved in the Lake of the Ozarks after Wednesday morning snowfall, but that doesn’t mean back roads and roads that don’t see sunlight aren’t still slick or snow covered.

“Conditions are going to still be hazardous out there to some degree, and we just need people to…if they do need to get out, plan ahead accordingly and give yourself plenty of time.”

MoDOT Central District Engineer Bob Lynch tells KRMS News it’s a good idea to keep emergency supplies in you vehicle, in case you do get stuck and have to wait for assistance.

That includes a blanket, water, extra food, flashlight, cell phone backup battery and gloves.
