Checking the road work in Camden County, the west side of the new expressway is still under construction with one lane open in each direction west of Key Largo. On the east end of the newly opened expressway near the Grand Glaize Bridge, lanes remain closed eastbound. Workers will work on the concrete barrier on the bridge, periodically shutting down lanes. All work on the new portion of the expressway should be complete by the end of the year.
And on old Route 5 between 54 and the Laclede County line, one lane will be open in areas for roadway maintenance.
Looking at the Miller County road work this week, on Route 242, delays can be expected on Fish Haven as material is moved and vehicles are detoured. The contractor is running power to the signals at 242 and 54 and finishing up work on the concrete islands and sidewalks. That project should be complete sometime in December.
Looking at road work in Morgan County this week, Route 135 between Route 50 and 52, a culvert pipe will be replaced today through Friday, one lane will be open. And on Route D between Route 50 and 52, one lane will be open Wednesday through Friday for roadway maintenance.
