Heres a look at the road work for the week in Camden County. On the 54 Expressway, final paving and shoulder work is taking place at service roads, expect some small delays. Guardrail and signs will be installed this week along the new route. Pending any major weather, the western portion could open as early as next Monday the 14th.
Looking at the road work this week in Miller County, on Route 52 between Route 17 and Route PP, one lane will be open Wednesday and Thursday for roadway maintenance. On Route 42 between Route 133 in Maries County and Route 17 in Miller County, one lane is open through late November for roadway resurfacing. And on Route 242, traffic could face small delays on Fish Haven as the contractor moves material. And the intersection of 242 and 54 will get new signals, shoulders are closed in the area and barricaded.
Checking road work in Morgan County, on Route 135 between Route 52 and Route JJ, one lane will be open through the 18th for a culvert pipe replacement. And the Route 5 Bridge over Soap Creek remains closed. Traffic is using Route 135 and Route J as a detour, tractor trailers are asked to use 54 or 65 to avoid the closure entirely. The bridge should be replaced before the end of this month.
