Here’s a look at the road work for the week in Camden County. On the western portion of the 54 Expressway, the final grading and asphalt work for the 54 westbound lanes near Jeffries Road will begin this week, expect delays as 54 is reduced to one lane periodically. The 54 Expressway should be complete in late 2011. On Route O between Route 54 and the end of state maintenance and on Route N between Route 54 and the end of state maintenance, one lane will be open Wednesday and Thursday for a partial surface overlay in both areas. And the Route W bridge over Macks Creek remains closed through mid-September.
Looking at the road work in Miller County, on the Route 242 construction, a bypass will open this week for drivers on Fish Haven Road as MoDOT ties 242 and Fish Haven together. A bypass is also being used on Route MM near the community bridge, expect delays in the area. 242 construction should wrap up late winter of 2011. Also in miller county on Route 42 between Route 54 and Route 63 in Maries County, one lane will be open as crews resume roadway resurfacing this Thursday.
Checking the road work in Morgan County, on Route D between Route 50 and Route 52, one lane will be open Monday through Friday for roadway resurfacing. On Tuesday, Route E between Route C and Westview School Road will have one lane open for a partial surface overlay. Today and tomorrow a partial surface overlay will close down one lane of Route JJ between Route 135 and Route D. And on Route WW between Route T and the end of state maintenance, one lane will be closed Thursday for a partial surface overlay.
