In Camden County on Route 54 in Linn Creek at the intersections of Route V and Business Park Road/East Valley Drive, grading and drainage work continues for the new Business Park Road and East Valley Drive widening. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2011. On Route J between Route 54 and Route 7, roadway maintenance will take place today through Friday. One lane will be open.
On the western portion of the 54 Expressway, grading work continues to tie in the new Jeffries Road to the existing Route 54. One westbound lane of Route 54 will be closed during the work. Traffic delays can be expected. Paving for the connection will begin this week. Grading, drainage and erosion control work continues from Nichols Road to Jeffries Road. Asphalt paving is scheduled to begin this week on the new service road from Oak Road to Normandy Road. Traffic will no longer use the existing connection on existing Route 54 and will be detoured to Route KK for one mile and then turn south onto the new Swiss Village Road. The western portion of the expressway is scheduled for completion in summer 2011.
Also in Camden County on the Route J Bridge over Prairie Hollow, north of Route 54, the bridge replacement continues. Traffic on Route J is being detoured around the work area on Route 54 and Route 7. The bridge is closed to traffic through late November.
And in Morgan County, on Route N between Route 52 and Route BB, the roadway surface will be sealed today through Monday, November 15. One lane will be open.
