Here’s a check of the road work in Camden County. On the 54 Expressway, traffic remains shifted to the eastbound Grand Glaize Bridge while the tie-in to the new expressway is completed. That will remain in place until late November. And the final paving and shoulder work continues on all service roads, some minor traffic delays can be expected. The expressway should be open by Thanksgiving.
Looking at the road work in Miller County, on the Route 52 bridge over Tavern Creek, east of Route E, one lane will be open for bridge maintenance on Tuesday. On Route 52 between Route 17 and Route PP, one lane will be open today through Wednesday for roadway maintenance. And on Route 242, expect delays on Fish Haven Road as materials are hauled across the road. Route 242 should be complete in the late winter.
And checking road work in Morgan County, on Route D between Route 52 and Route 50, one lane will be open today through Friday for roadway maintenance and repair. And the Soap Creek Bridge just north of Route P remains closed through the end of November. Traffic is using Route J and Route 135 as detours. Tractor trailers are asked to use 54 or 65 to avoid the area. The bridge replacement should be done by the end of November.
