There are several road projects underway across the state, but MoDot says they’ll be taking a break from most of them. Beginning Friday at noon, work will stop on the majority of projects currently underway on state routes. That doesn’t mean travel will be easy, though. It is Labor Day weekend so traffic flow is expected to be higher than normal, and several work zones have permanent lane closures and barriers that will remain in place. That may cause congestion and delays during peak times Friday evening and Monday afternoon. MoDot workers will be back on the job Tuesday at 9am.
