Brief Route 54 Closure Rescheduled at Lake Ozark Interchange Project

LAKE OZARK – Due to weather, a brief U.S. Route 54 closure in Lake Ozark has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin blasting rock to make way for the construction of a new eastbound Route 54 bridge. In order for crews to safely perform the blasting, all Route 54 traffic near the interchange will be stopped around 11 a.m. for up to ten minutes on Tuesday, October 27.

This work is part of the future interchange and roundabouts along Route 54, Business 54 and Miller County Route W. Speed limits are reduced through the work zone for the safety of travelers and workers on the road. Motorists in the area are asked to plan for delays, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews in work zones.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
