A Rocky Mount man faces up to a year behind bars and a possible $10,000 fine for allegedly making terroristic threats. The Morgan County Sheriff’s office reports that Wilbur Marr entered the county library in Versailles to ask why the flags were at half-staff. When told it was in honor of the shooting victims in El Paso and Dayton, Marr commented that the shooter in El Paso, quote, “did us a favor.” Library employees say Marr then spent the next hour researching articles on the El Paso killings, and allegedly become upset when he could not find the alleged shooter’s manifesto published online. The employees felt uncomfortable with the situation and called law enforcement. Marr is charged with a second-degree terrorist threat and was taken to the Morgan County Jail.
