A man arrested after causing a disturbance at an area grocery story and restaurant is facing three criminal charges, including assault on a police officer. Osage Beach police responded to Hy-Vee August 2nd for a report of an unruly patron in the restaurant area of the store. They say the man identified as Michael James Mullins appeared to be intoxicated and was refusing requests to leave the property. When approached by an off-duty officer who identified himself and asked him to leave, Mullins allegedly threatened and pushed the officer. He also allegedly spit on the officer before being taken into custody and removed from the premises. Mullins is facing charges of third-degree assault – special victim, resisting arrest, and trespassing.
