Five people are injured, including four from Rocky Mount, in a two-vehicle accident on Highway-5, just north of Hartmann Road, in Moniteau County. The highway patrol says it happened around 11:30 Wednesday morning when an SUV driven northbound by Tabitha Patterson struck another northbound SUV from behind. Patterson and one passenger in her vehicle, 37-year-old John Wixom, were seriously injured while two children, an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old, suffered moderate injuries. All four were taken to St. Mary’s in Jefferson City. The other driver, a 64-year-old man from Tipton, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
