A $3 million dollar grant for the Rocky Mount sewer project has been approved. The Sewer District’s Chairman Red Jennings credits the support of residents, the board along with the ongoing direction and technical advice from Schultz Surveying and engineering for seeing the project thru. The grant money will help fund the first phase of the project. The Rocky Mount Sewer District encompasses about 1,900 homes in Morgan County on the eastern side of the Gravois Arm. In 2004, voters approved $24 million dollars in revenue bonds to fund construction of the system.
