It’s a nightmare we’ve all heard about in national media reports but hoping that a similar situation never hits close to home…talking about an incident putting our kids in danger whether in a school building or not. About 200 participants from law enforcement agencies statewide are in the Lake Area for a two-day Safe Schools Conference. CJ Huff is a special adviser to the Missouri Center for Education Safety. Huff says the safety of our children is really a basic case of trying to be proactive.
Melissa Randol is executive director of the Missouri School Boards Association. Randol says the classrooms must continue to be a safe haven for our children.
The Safe Schools conference at Tan-Tar-A comes to an end on Wednesday(10/5).
