Salem Woman Dies In Maries County Crash

A Salem woman is dead following a crash in Maries County.

According to the Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Amanda Franklin was traveling north on Highway 133 about 10 miles outside of Dixon.

Investigators say Franklin crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck head on.

The truck driver, 50-year-old Gary Vineyard received minor injuries.

Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
