Just in time for back-to-school sales, Missouri is holding its annual Sales Tax Holiday. Starting tonight at midnight, thru Sunday, no state sales tax will be collected on exempted items include clothing, school supplies and even some computers. Miller County will also waive the county sales tax. Camden and Morgan counties are not participating, and the city of Osage Beach is alsop opting-out and will be collecting local and county sales tax as usual.
The sales tax exemption is limited to the following types of items:
Clothing – any article having a taxable value of $100 or less
School supplies – not to exceed $50 per purchase
Computer software – taxable value of $350 or less
Personal computers – not to exceed $3,500
Computer peripheral devices – not to exceed $3,500
