A legal challenge to Missouri’s Gay Marriage ban returns to court Tuesday in St. Louis. The city issued marriage licenses to four same sex couples in June setting up the legal challenge. However, city officials have agreed to stop issuing any additional marriage licenses pending resolution of the case and others in state and federal courts. Tuesday’s proceeding is listed in online court records as a “status hearing.” Last week, Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster intervened in a separate case moving an ACLU challenge on behalf of two same sex couples who were denied marriage licenses from state to federal court.
