Work is well underway on facility improvements on the School of the Osage district campuses. Superintendent Dr. Brent Depee says the dry weather this summer has helped their construction schedule. The district is working on a number of construction projects approved by voters in April.
Depee says the next part of that project, the entrance into the upper elementary, is also expected to be ready to go before the school year starts. Summer is the busiest time of year for the administrators, doing budget work, preparing for the audit, working on curriculum, and making sure teachers have what they need.
