School safety is on the agenda for the upcoming Camdenton R-III board meeting. They’ll be discussing a grant available through the Community Oriented Policing Services, or COPS program. If approved, the district would receive nearly $309,000 in federal money that they would match with about $103,000 in local funds. The money will be used to upgrade video systems and the middle and elementary schools. The district also wants to replace the video system at the high school and install a secure entry at LCTC. That application along with several routine end-of-year items will be on the agenda for the meeting to be held Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Administration Building.
