Search Continues for Subject Wanted On Multiple Felony Warrants After Pursuit in Miller County

The search is on Vernon Phelps, Junior, a Dixon man wanted on felony warrants for a probation violation and failure to appear from multiple counties. According to reports, Phelps was able to elude authorities in a pursuit which started in Miller County over the weekend and came to an end when deputies lost sight of Phelps and the vehicle near the Maries County line. The car was recovered and an unidentified female who claims that Phelps took off on foot along highway-BB was taken into custody. Phelps is described as in his early 50’s, 5-9 with short blondish-brown hair. Anyone with information on Phelps and his whereabouts should call 9-1-1.
