A local business is sponsoring an event to pay tribute to first responders and military this Sunday. The second annual Surdyke Yamaha Boat and PWC Ride for Freedom is a 150-mile ride to Truman damn and back. Drew Schenck said it’s a great day on the lake, and a great way to say “thank you.”
The trip includes several stops for food, drinks, and even swimming along the way. A poker run is included as well, with prizes including a fireman’s edition Henry Rifle. And for military or first responders who don’t have a boat or personal water craft, Schenck says they’re gonna hook them up.
