In an election many consider to be among the most important in a generation, expectations are for a large voter turnout. Early numbers indicate that may not be the case in Missouri, though. Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft says the number of absentee ballots cast statewide was below expectations heading into today. Of course that could just mean voters have been waiting until election day to make their voices heard.
Polls are open until 7pm. Local election coverage begins in that hour on KRMS and will continue until at least 10 p.m.
