A landlord-tenant dispute comes to an end in Camden County with the landlord facing several felony charges after, allegedly, trying to burn down the house. The incident happened Thursday afternoon in the 400-block of Storm Ridge Road in Macks Creek. Taken into custody at the scene was 67-year-old Norma Rogers who is charged with first-degree arson, three counts of first-degree assault and one count each of endangering the welfare of a child and knowingly burning or exploding. Court documents identify Rogers as the property owner who admitted she was trying to burn down the house after being unable to evict the tenants. Rogers is also accused of lighting some trash in a vehicle at the scene on fire as well as trying to light an occupant’s shirt and some curtains in the house on fire while an 8-month-old child was present. There were no injuries reported and the 67-year-old was booked into the Camden County Jail and is being held on a quarter-of-a-million dollar bond.
