Several fire districts from around the region, including the Mid-County and Tri-County districts, are called on over the weekend to help battle a house fire in the Lebanon area. The initial call to a reported flue fire in the 25-thousand block of Open Ridge Lane was first received by the Lebanon Rural district shortly after 2:15 Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, heavy smoke was showing from the roof and eves of the two-story house. An aggressive interior attack was started which confined the blaze to the attic where it had spread to from the interior walls causing heat, smoke and water damage to the home. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported and fire personnel were able to salvage several items, including Christmas presents, from the home.
