A former employee of the Camden County Sheriff’s Department wants his job back and an apology from Sheriff Dwight Franklin. The Lake Sun reports that Gregg Sellers is suing the county and the sheriff in federal court after Sellers says he lost his job for supporting John Page in the 2008 sheriff’s election. Sellers says he was given no reason for his termination and therefore cannot find law enforcement employment. The Montreal man, who says his First Amendment rights were violated, wants a personal apology from the sheriff to be televised daily, and for the sheriff’s department to be trained on illegal employment practices.
