When the August primary ballots are printed for Morgan County, there will be at least one familiar face running for the position of sheriff. In a letter posted over the weekend on social media, Sheriff Norman Dills announced his bid for re-election. In making the announcement, Dills cited what he considers to be several accomplishments made over his first three years in the office including: greater transparency, adding patrol and investigative personnel, establishing strong community policing and having implemented a crisis intervention team. The primary election is set for Tuesday, August 4th.
