We’ve recently told you about the new animal control ordinances adopted in Camden County. Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire says they have animal control issues, too, but in his opinion, they’re not likely to adopt any similar laws any time soon.
In addition to budgetary restraints, Gregoire says it’s a staffing issue, as well.
Camden County’s ordinance requires that all dogs be micro-chipped and remain under the control of the owner. Punishments range from fines to jail time for the worst repeat offenders.
