An Eldon woman accused of murder following an overdose death will be in court Monday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Lisa Shockley on charges of second-degree murder and delivery of a controlled substance. She’s currently being held on a $250,000 bond. That bond was reduced once in October, and now the public defender has filed a motion to reduce it even further. Shockley was allegedly involved in a weekend of activities that involved her husband being stabbed by another man in a dispute over money. During that same weekend, she and her husband allegedly used heroin with a third individual who later died as a result of an overdose.
Meanwhile the man accused of the stabbing that weekend, Steven Degraffenreid, is also scheduled to be in court Monday. He’s been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled as well. Degraffenreid is also facing several other charges from separate incidents this year, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a charge of resisting arrest.
