Trashy numbers for sure….
Adopt-the-Shoreline volunteers removed more than 41 tons of shoreline trash from about 500 miles of Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks shoreline during the annual spring cleanup. Nearly 450 volunteers from 63 Adopt-the-Shoreline member groups participated in the 25th annual Lake of the Ozarks Spring Shoreline Cleanup. The volunteers cleaned up 688 cubic yards of shoreline trash weighing 41.6 tons, over 60 percent more than collected last year, increasing their total number of miles cleaned since the event’s inception from 98-hundred to over ten-thousand miles. Volunteers have removed about 5.5 million pounds of shoreline trash from the Lake over the years.
