Six Lake Area Fire Districts Train Together Simultaneosly at Two Locations

Lake area fire districts often work together on mutual aid calls, and to prepare for those situations, they also train together as often as possible. This past weekend provided a rare opportunity. Lake Ozark Fire District Training Officer David Woodward:

Firefighters from Gravois Mills, Mid-County, and Sunrise Beach were training on the First Assembly of God Church that caught fire in January. On the other side of the lake, crews from Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, and Rocky Mount were drilling at the Lake Ozark training facility. Woodward says the exercises are vital to learn other departments’ techniques and equipment.
