The number of people killed this holiday weekend on Missouri highways is now up to six. According to the Highway Patrol, 42 year old Jeanette Bunn of Wayne County was killed in a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon in St. Francois County. The accident occurred after a pick up truck she was riding in struck the rear of a car and then traveled off the roadway and hit a tree. Four others were injured in the accident and taken to area hospitals for treatment. Also on Friday, 72 year old Paula Myers of Cape Girardeau was killed in a pedestrian accident in a private driveway after the car began rolling backwards and knocked her under the vehicle. Four other people have been killed since the holiday weekend started on Wednesday night. Last year, there were 18 deadly crashes in Missouri.
