It’s a sight that can strike fear in many motorists and it’s becoming a common problem again…especially this time of the year. We are referring to the recent start of skunks beginning to wake up from a long winter nap and starting their annual migration in the hopes of finding a mate.
Kathie is an office assistant for the Conservation Department in Camdenton…she goes on to say, as is the case with any wildlife crossing the roadways, you are encouraged to check and make sure you can change lanes to avoid the critter before swerving out of the way. Otherwise, well, it’s just best to take your chances and roll the windows down for a little bit to “clear the air.”
