The Saline County Sheriff confirms that two people have been killed in Saline County. Officials said there are two separate crime scenes. According to Sheriff Cindi Mullins, a homicide occurred in Slater in the early morning hours Thursday. She says an additional homicide was also discovered just outside of the Slater City limits. One of the victims has been identified as 33-year-old Ryan Sanders. Sanders was found shot several times in the yard in the 800-block of Park Avenue in the city of Slater. He was taken to the hospital where he died. The second victim, 83-year-old Bonnie Charlene Hupp, was found on Nickel Avenue which is located in the county. Hupp was the grandmother-in-law of Sanders. They believe both killings are related. Police say they are familiar with the suspect but aren’t releasing a name. No one is in custody and no suspect description has been released. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating and conducting interviews with the assistance of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and the Slater Police Department.
