A survey of business supply managers that showed concerns of stagnation a few months ago now indicates slow growth in the Midwest economy. The Mid-America Business Conditions index rebounded to 50.6 in December, compared with 48.6 in November. The survey is used to judge what those in industry think is going to happen based on supplies and other factors. Any score above 50 suggests economic growth is taking place. The survey covers Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and North and South Dakota.
