Election reporter Ashley Teague has the winner’s plans from Tuesday night.
‘An incumbent retains he seat as Camden County Recorder of Deeds. Donnie Snelling will begin his 4th term after defeating Colleen Laughlin 5,124 to 3,140 votes. The recorder says there will be changes.’
“We’re looking at upgrades on our system and as I explained before, some of our stuff is not on the internet and I explained my reasons for doing it. I’ve already had some conversations with some o the title people and some of the real estate people because I’ve never been opposed to putting out there, I just want some more safeguards.”
‘Snelling says he hesitated to make any big plans prior to the election.’
“Just in the last two weeks I talked to some people and said, we’re not even going to discuss it until we see the outcome of the election because if I’m not there it’s not my call but if I am there I’d like to set up a kind of advisory panel to sit down and work with and that’s something that we would entertain the idea of doing,” says Snelling.
‘Snelling has not challenger in November, barring a write in.’
