A study has found that a tournament soccer complex is not only feasible for Lake of the Ozarks, but actually is closer to reality than many similar facilities when they are first discussed. The report released yesterday by XO Strategic says there are multiple pieces of property in all three lake area counties that could house the complex.
Greg Cotton of XO Strategic says there’s also a funding mechanism that could, theoretically, pay for the construction without a cost to local taxpayers.
The next step in the process is to create a Lake Sports Authority to oversee the remaining development for complex. Cotton says if they act aggressively, the facility could be operational by spring of 2021.
