The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen passed first reading of a cooperative agreement with Tri-County Lodging for construction of a tournament soccer complex. A proposed lodging tax on the ballot in November will provide the funding for the facility’s construction, with Tri-County pledging to establish a fund for future upgrades, including turf replacement. The city would be responsible for maintenance and day-to-day operations, taking on the same responsibilities and oversight as what they have at city parks and other facilities. The board also approved expenses up to $177,486 for Phase 5 of a sidewalk improvement project along Osage Beach Parkway. The special road district is providing the funds for that work.
