The Sunrise Beach Fire District is hoping voters will approve a ballot measure at the polls on Tuesday to give them an additional 223 thousand dollars a year. Sunrise Beach Fire Chief Dennis Reilly says right now the district needs more people than equipment. Reilly says if the measure passes, it would give the district one more full time fire fighter. It would also allow the district to increase their fire equipment budget from five to 20 thousand dollars a year along with providing for things like information technology, vehicle maintenance, a building maintenance plan and training site maintenance. Polls will open at 6:00 on Tuesday morning and close at 7:00 Tuesday night.
