The first in a series of events for parents in the School of the Osage District will be held Tuesday night. It’s called the Time to Rise series and it focuses on parents of students who will be moving into new buildings next year as they move up in grade levels. Osage High principal Staci Johnson says making that transition can be difficult.
Parents will hear from school staff members and other parents who’ve gone through the process. They’ll be treated to dinner, given a chance to ask questions, and take a tour of the building. The first event is for incoming 9th graders and will be held at the high school. That will be followed by the 6th graders at the middle school May 2nd and the third graders at the upper elementary May 14th.
