Access to water to fight fires is a big problem for the Southwest Camden County Fire District. It’s also a problem they hope to solve with passage of a proposed 25-cent levy increase.
Division Chief Josh Kingston says if voters approve the levy increase, a portion of the money generated would be used to construct at least two new station houses and a number of water storage facilities that would cut down on those response times. The money would also be used for added benefits for volunteers and replacing turnout gear.
