The Consumer Product Safety Commission says a certain make and model of space heaters can overheat when in use posing fire and burn hazards. A recall was announced over the weekend involving the Chinese-made Vornado Personal Vortex electric space heater sold in black, coral orange, grayed jade, cinnamon, fig, ice white and red colors. The serial number…VH101…and the ETL mark are printed on a silver rating label and a “V” printed on the front of the units. The space heaters included in the recall were sold between August, 2009, and March of this year at Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Menards, Target, Orchard Supply and other stores nationwide, plus online on several sites including Target.com and Amazon.com. The recall was conducted voluntarily.
