So much for Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s call for an expeditious special legislative session.

He pressed for it to have lawmakers act on his tax cut proposal but when it convened last Wednesday 26 bills were introduced including 10 alternative tax cut bills.

22 were filed in the Senate while the House saw 4 bills filed… one of which relates to agriculture tax credits.

The others are aimed at exempting eyeglasses and contact lenses from sales taxes, legalizing recreational pot and legalizing sports wagering and gambling.

The state Senate gaveled in to the special session again this morning.
