A Special Session’s underway in Missouri to start reducing violent crime.
Governor Parson broke down details of special session and he says the focus will be narrow and only on violent crime.
The Governor’s top concerns are keeping children out of danger, witness protection funding, witness statement admissibility, juvenile certification and the unlawful transfer of weapons.
Parson says he’s traveled around the state meeting with local leaders, legislators and law enforcement officials in preparing for the special session.
The governor is also stressing the importance of strong support for law enforcement at the local level.
