We continue with our review of 2015 with the eighth and seventh biggest stories of the year.
Number eight, Lake Race 2015. The event drew thousands to the Lake of the Ozarks. K-R-M-S once again teamed up with television stations in Columbia, Springfield and Co-Mo Connect to broadcast the event. It has recently been announced the races will only be held one day this year. Events will be expanded to include Osage Beach as well.
Number seven, the 2018 and 2020 Can-Am games will be held at the Lake of the Ozarks. The ’18 games were awarded after Hampton Roads, Virginia pulled out and the Lake won by default. Then in November, a presentation was made to secure the 2020 games and was awarded. It is the first time in Can-Am Games history the same location will host back to back events.
