Springfield Man Faces Statutory Rape Charges In Laclede County

A Springfield man’s accused of statutory rape in Laclede County.

It all started with communication between a 16-year-old girl and a 41-year-old man on an app.

Sheriff David Milsap tells KRMS News the suspect is Oludare Bakare.

He tells KRMS News Bakare was arrested after the guardians of the girl took action.

Sheriff Milsap says Bakare has bonded out of jail, but he’s due in court Wednesday.

Milsap also urges parents to keep an eye on their children’s online activity, no matter what device they use.
