A St. Joseph man responsible for a fatal boat accident at Lake of the Ozarks is sentenced to prison. Cletus Barsch was intoxicated when his boat collided with another in May of 2018. Barsch’s 14-year old daughter was hurt along with two people in the other boat. One of those victims later died from his injuries. Barsch entered guilty pleas to charges of BWI causing the death of another and two counts of BWI with serious physical injury. He was sentenced to 10 years for the death and seven years each on the two counts involving injury. All sentences will be served concurrently.
